The nation’s partisan divide can be seen in poll that asked Americans what should be done to help the struggling local news industry, with Democrats much more likely to favor public funding,http://apne.ws/dB5BbaN

Wait until there's public funding for Breitbart. @TheDemocrats will LOVE that.

Ha! Not only is that a bad idea, NPR should have funding pulled. The press should be impartial and a watchdog of government. Can’t do that if getting gov $. I sure as hell don’t want to pay for you!

Tax exemptions perhaps , such as or similar to churches. With condition that press unequivocally reports the news, among other fair stipulations, so not to depend on advertising. The business side of press etc. trickier.

Sadly media has become more about making news than reporting it. First step get rid of news “networks, only allow one owner for any broadcasting organizations, and forbid foreign companies from buying American stations.

We have a "right" to unbiased uncensored news. If it is a "right" for everyone, then you can't expect it to come for free. We must fund via taxes. Pubic TV and Public Radio and the Print media should be supported and strengthened.

Where in the Constitution does it say you have a right to unbiased news? It does guaranty a free press.. free from GOVERNMENT interference. We have that already. fYI... Govt. Funding does NOT eliminate bias. See NPR for an example.
