We stand with you! It's a shame teachers have to go on strike especially in urban areas. Meanwhile, suburban school districts are swimming in cash and resources. We have to find an equitable way to fund schools and compensate teachers and support staff for their hard work.

Now if they only can teach the kids to stop killing each other that would be very nice. Every weekend the gunfire can be heard all the way to New Orleans. Can you imagine having to live in Chicago. SAD place constant killing

People often think that collective bargaining is just teachers asking for more money. Often teachers are advocating for what students need most, like–in this case–nurses and social workers in every school.
