When will we learn we cannot "tame" nature. Yes, we can always alter it, but only temporarily. Our problem is overpopulation and greedy exploitation of resources. 1. Don't live in a flood plain if you don't want to get flooded out. 2. Don't grow food in the desert.

3. Don't live in Tornado Alley if you want to be safe from tornadoes. 4. Don't live near a fault if you don't want to be an earthquake victim. 5. Don't live near a volcano. We MUST learn to live WITH nature, not against it.
