SInce the electors can choose whomever they want to vote for does it even matter? Also is there a possible never in a million years rank, like can you give a candidate a negative infinity rank?
-
By definition “never in a million year” rank is the last ranking on your ballot because it is mathematically impossible for that candidate to ever get your vote. They would either already have 50.1% support and win, or your vote for 2nd to last candidate put that person over top.

Allows people to vote for their preferred candidate without the risk of "throwing away your vote". Great initiative.

RCV makes a huge difference for third party voters in US-style systems; Greens can vote for their candidate first and then the Democrat.
