Then they come to gringo land, and sell their street food. I know a few foreign restaurant owners that laugh about how much we pay for their street food. They can’t believe it.

"Arepas" are what you used to eat in Puerto Rico when you were very poor. I think they are staple in Latin America, in PR is deep fried white flour, you add different things to it, some can be a mix of flour and corn and yes they are freaking good, you get filled up.
