Shouldn't be a problem. US taxpayers spent billions, billions and more billions in disaster recovery, disaster relief, and disaster mitigation over the decades since Katrina. New Orleans folks keep building back and US taxpayers keep reaching for their pocketbooks.
-
Yup. Time to relocate the entire area. The flooding is only going to get worse

Oh my God and we have a president worse than president Bush, who had a black woman as his right hand.

I'd expect better use of hyphens by the
@AP. Hyphenation of the levees' heights turns them into adjectives. "New Orleans has levees that are 20 feet tall." "New Orleans has 20-foot levees."#DemandBetterGrammarThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Levees may be 20' tall, but are they connected? Visited just before Katrina and there were huge sections with no levees to connect to levees already in place. Locals pointed it out to Corps of Engineers MANY times, but no actions taken. It led to so much unnecessary damage!

That's how it works
