Remembering the photo of an infant washed up on a beach in Europe there was outcry from everyone for a few weeks and then another subject comes along and the media quickly forget and move on.

And of course that Tianamen Square image forced China to stop violent crack downs on protestor, while the photo of the drowned Salvadoran family forced America to rethink its immigration and foreign policy. Oh wait no. None of that happened.

Don’t mind the journalists meditating publicly on their own import and grace- it’s their second favorite pastime after pretending to enjoy high brow cocktails they can’t stand when they meet one another at an insufferable beltway bar.
