Thank you to Florida’s Republican SoS for doing the right thing even when your party wants to sabotage the counting of all votes.
-
No one has ever called for not counting votes. The GOP position has always been count ALL the votes, and the FL Lt. Gov. backs up this sentiment. Recount is proper course of action, however it will probably not change the outcome of the races (Gov & Sen).
-
I call BS. Trump, Rubio and Scottsre all trying to get the message out that counting all the votes is shady and the democrats trying to steal the election.
-
I understand & respect your viewpoint, but I think right now both extremes have it wrong. Counting all the votes is right and just, but the inefficiency/illegal actions of the Palm Beach & Broward Elections offices warrants investigation. I agree in sentiment—COUNT ALL VOTES.
-
There’s no both sides here. I can accept and agree that there is incompetence and poor communication without moronically pretending there’s voter fraud.
-
I agree insofar that there is no evidence whatsoever of voter fraud. We can all agree on a recount & ensuring that all counties are counting all votes.
-
Rational Joe *I accept that there are faults on both sides and I want the correct outcome regardless of the outcome* Other people *REEEEEEEEEE*
-
You can’t be rational on someone else’s behalf. There’s extensive reporting that the White House is pushing GOP officials to try to make the process look shady and cast doubt on the legitimacy of the election, and Rubio and Scott are happy to oblige.

OMG they want to get an accurate count??? What kind of Liberal trickery is this????
-
No trickery. It is Florida LAW that when a race is closer than .5% a recount is required. If it is closer than .25% a hand recount is required. Before you get all beside yourself.

phew thanks for the explanation

@smorgan865 I believe she was being sarcastic. -
Seemed like one of the typical outraged response that I’ve been seeing since Wednesday.

Facetiousness gets the best of us all sometimes!

Irony and facetiousness are hard to spot sometimes in Trump's America.

Amazing how the “All LIVES MATTER” crowd doesn’t feel the same way about votes. Very telling. And expected.
-
Amazing how the left suddenly loves law and the Constitution.
-
Amazing how the right doesn’t.
-
Nah dawg I'm all for a recount figure out who screwed up and get heads to roll blue, red, yellow, doesn't matter. Keep the snark alive bro we all keyboard warriors right? We doing so much good here right?
-
That's all very genteel and equanimous. But it also ignores that the two top officials enforcing Federal and Florida state law – who I must sadly inform you, are both Republicans – are right now fighting to invalidate ballots and the democratic process as a whole.

-
Cool but are we getting a recount?
-
Good question! Last time Florida had this kind of national attention on a state-wide recount, Republicans shut it down with lawsuits and rioting. And one of the Brooks Brothers rioters that stopped the 2000 recount is now going to rule on the lawsuits in the Supreme Court. Huh.
