Macron said needed a European Army that can defend itself without relying on the US to do so. He did not say to protect against the US, Russia and China. tRump just trying to put a spin on it.

I have to agree with Macron. With Trump in charge and his attitude toward NATO I would be looking to develop a defense against any enemy.
-
Exactly. His comments about NATO + Putin worship alone reveal him as an unreliable ally to Europe.
-
I really don't think he knows why NATO was created in the first place or it's role in the world today. Given how ignorant he is and how he doesn't want to learn it would be a shock.
-
You’re right—he’s uninterested. Nor does he know that the first time Article 5 was invoked was *for* the US after Sept. 11th. But fraying NATO must be on Putin’s top To Do list.
-
That goes along with his lack of knowledge and understanding of NATO. He's been a 'businessman' his entire life and he's never been interested in anything else, and it shows. I dread what might happen if a major issue came up.

Trump is confused about most, if not all things. Thank you, France, for acknowledging the elephant in the room. The orange elephant.
