AP... AP... AP... you're one of the most respected media outlets in the world. It's not because of the t-shirt. It's about the relationship between Japan and South Korea about the wartime forced labour. Please, don't ruin your credibility and good reputation. Okay?

the writer is literally japanese. the context is known. there is a reason the article is so vague
-
I didn't mean to put the writer's name in a bad position, but there are 2 different things happened rn related to Japan&SK or BTS. At least, the writer can interview some BTS fans or use their comments (with their permission, of course) on the article. We called it 'news balance'
-
they of all people should know better :/ not to jump to conclusions but.
-
Uh no bc right now the issue is Japan doesn't want to compensate for forced labor in Asian countries. However it was ruled that they had to. That is the main issue.

Doing more research wouldn't hurt.

he wore the shirt A YEAR AGO and bts have been to japan since then so why is japan being like this now?
-
It’s not about BTS it’s about the relationship between the two countries. If you do enough research you will find out what the t-shirt really means and you will also find out about what is going on between the two countries. It’s not really got anything to do with BTS.
-
What does the t-shirt really mean? I love BTS and I'm sure Jimin meant no offence, but maybe I'm just being defensive because it's Jimin... I get that it was a year ago but why did Jimin ever wear that? What else could it mean, is it not that bad?

With all due respect, kindly re-check your facts. This is NOT about a t-shirt, the issue runs deeper. This is due to the Japan-South Korea relationship based on the matter of wartime forced labour. Kindly don't streamline the issue onto BTS alone, this is not just about them.pic.twitter.com/HTwNHoWab8

hi, I can see where you’re coming from... if you have time, could you check the thread pinned on my tl? i’m japanese and i explained what is happening right now, and what a lot of japanese people are saying. And unfortunately many Japanese people are still upset because this
-
designer did not apologise to the Japanese ppl affected, but only to BTS. that may sound unreasonable but this is a really complicated issue and it’s hard to understand from just what the media is saying. It’s actually really blowing up here...I don’t want ppl to be misinformed.

Hello! Thank you for your thread, it was insightful. My tweet was mainly to the news station though, because they said that the show was cancelled mainly because of the t-shirt, though that's not true. I wanted to make it clear that this is not solely BTS's and JM's fault +
-
+ I understand both your side as well as K-side, but this was only aimed at the news station for saying the shirt was the reason for cancelation, when it's more than just that. That's all. But thanks for your points as well though^^
-
Ah btw, I shared the designer's statement since that's the only statement made about the t-shirt so far, explaining its intent, and it seemed like the news stations did not know of it. Hence i felt that to post it here, that's all^^
