The NRA didnt shoot anybody and to think taking guns away would solve the problem is crazy...making drugs illegal and declaring a war on drugs did and doesn't stop them from being consumed..the NRA protects our rights we should be so lucky to have them or any others to protect us

How can you say that. Taking guns away would solve the problem. Every other developed nation in the world has strict gun control and zero mass shootings. If we continue to do nothing within twenty years the number of gun deaths will rise from 30K to 100K a year.
-
How do you defend yourself when the government starts taking away other constitutional rights? Countries that have given up their guns are defenseless to their government.
-
Don't elect career criminals and we'll be fine in a nation ruled by laws.
-
I live in Maryland with some of the strictest gun laws in the country and look at Baltimore City. Laws only work for law abiding citizens.
-
Q. Can people legally purchase AR-15's in Maryland? A. Yes. The gun laws in your state aren't really that strict.
-
The shooter last night didn't use an AR-15. He used a handgun with illegal magazines. The people being killed everyday in the streets aren't being killed with AR-15's.

Even if House Dems vote on a bill for universal background checks and pass it, Senate republicans will take their NRA dollars and reject voting on it.pic.twitter.com/CgfHRCkGdC

That doesn't mean the House shouldn't act. Put forth a bill, the NRA's stranglehold on our government is weakening.

When democrats regain control of the house in January, they probably will hold hearings in committee with experts and motion for a bill on the floor. Pass it. And force the senate republicans to take a stand and vote on it. They’ll probably vote no.pic.twitter.com/vLTBUXADvD

Let me guess how America is going to respond “thoughts and prayers” “the bar should’ve had armed security” “it’s not a gun problem it’s mental health” “someone in the bar should’ve been armed” “the 2nd amendment” “taking guns away won’t help” “a knife could do the same”
-
Forgot the one about the bar having “too many doors”

Oh i didnt I just used up my character limit lmao

I’m from a country( Denmark)where guns aren’t allowed at all
It’s so sad that your cowboylaws, makes it so easy to kill so many innocent people every day
-
I’m originally from Portugal, living in Central Europe and your comment applies to any European country. This idea that having guns protects you is so absurd to me. Almost as absurd as successive mass shootings not being enough for the American people to change their gun laws.Sad
-
I would not feel safe with a gun in my home. Hypothetically if I had a gun and someone broke into my home, it could go a few different ways: I could kill them, and be forever haunted that I killed someone. Or they could kill me because they saw that I was a threat.
-
I'd much rather take precautions and keep someone from breaking in in the first place. And then yeah if someone breaks in, I'll tell them to take my things. That stuff can be replaced.
-
Tell them to take your stuff and not rape you
What if that doesn’t work??? -
People who break into homes usually just want to steal expensive things, not rape or kill. Why are you so afraid?
