The plan to turn the system off, if needed, isn't very comforting to me. Pilots should know it if they're going to keep the planes flying, but I'd rather these planes not be in the air. Ground the planes, find the problem and fix it. I won't be flying on the new 737 anytime soon.

This seems like Boeing simply saying to take care of problems you already know exist. Is this just a reaction to Lion Air saying "there's nothing in the manual that says how do deal with a problem we know exists"?
