Laws and sentencing involving vehicular homicide are too lax, especially in hit and runs. Too many drivers are now fleeing the scene leaving their victims to die without any consideration for getting help for the injured. A message needs to be sent!

He turned himself in.

He never should've left
-
Agreed but atleast he turned himself if. Most people who run end up in a man hunt.
-
He didn't turn himself In. He surrendered after the police surrounded his home.

Tbh, I would never feel comfortable with my child spending a lengthy amount of time at the side of any road. This should be done by gov employees or at least adult volunteers. There are safer ways to give back. So devastating for these families
-
Agreed. In NC we have inmates doing it. In VA i only seen city officials.
-
Yes, I’ve seen inmates doing it. Perfect. I’m originally from WI. I know how much drinking is done there
-
I was from there too, and that’s the first thing I thought of. Lots of drunk drivers there

-
Sadly as much as you are correct about DUI here in WI it still probably involved a phone.
-
Is it college age people or old people. Who exactly are these drinkers? Is it a farm boy in his daddies pickup or some city slicker?
-
People from all walks of life drink... Some too much, some irresponsibly so. Why try to nail it to a particular demographic?
-
Because sadly, Wisconsin has one of the highest rates of alcoholism. I know, I have many friends and family battling it.

All? Horrible sounds like it was on purpose
-
Or drunk driving. Went home to sober up then turned himself in.
-
Did not turn himself in. The SO surrounded Jos house and he surrendered after a short standoff. I hope they throw the book at him.
