Nothing new, been happening for a few decades now. But these days it's at its peak and nobody is doing anything about it.
-
Decades? Nearly 1400 years.
-
I'm talking about the period after El Sadat released the Muslim brotherhood from jail. But yeah, I'm sure you could go that far back for any religion or country. Some more than others.
-
Yeah, "any religion or country" has an indigenous minority like the Copts that has been terrorized ever since its conquest, as by the Arabs in Egypt.
-
Can't argue with that. I just find it sad that with all this going on, it isn't even the biggest problem Egypt is facing. Egypt's economy has gone to absolute shit. Around 10 years ago $1 = 7 LE/ Today $1= 20 LE... People find it difficult enough to live without terrorism.

Imagine if we got this heated over other murders. Here at home.https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/data/ct-shooting-victims-map-charts-htmlstory.html …

Hell, more than that many people have been shot to death, in little York, Pa., about in the last month. I guess that story doesn’t sell ads, though.
-
Exactly we never hear bout it so how are we supposed to do anything? These media companies are not doing their job.

1. Coptic Christians are a persecuted religious minority in Egypt. 2. This isn’t a “Blue tsunami” (which I assume refers to Democrats) … this happened in Egypt, and they were killed by Muslims. 3. You’re a disgusting human being for rejoicing in the death of innocent people.

13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.'' Revelation 14:13

I bet that most people mocking Islam haven’t ever been to Egypt. I have, I met a bunch of people, many of whom were Muslim, and they still are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Constantly inviting me into their home for tea, taking me to local bars...nicer than most in US
-
There are countless wonderful muslim people in every part of the world. Its also true that islam promotes violence against unbelievers. Christianity forbids fornication, and yet many in the west who call themselves Christian practice fornication.
-
The argument that Islam promotes violence is arguable, many scholars don’t always agree on that. That being said, all I’m saying is that it’s wrong to decry any group, be it Muslims, Christians, or anyone else, based on one person’s actions
-
I do agree though that we should not attack a group of people for their belief, the majority of muslim people do not want to harm others. But islam, the teachings of muhammad, do promote violence against others and even other muslims.
-
Violence is indeed part of Islam, and every other religion and even humanity. But this violence must be contextualized and not taken as an open door to free violence against anyone
