What good does it do when most workers are one paycheck away from poverty? Forget about saving for retirement. Wages are still not high enough to live on.

I wasn't talking about me, I am fine. I was talking about our society in general, families around the country are struggling, people are working 2 jobs and can't make ends meet. Jobs may be out there but they don't pay much to live on. That's the point...

Life is about choices. More people need to get off their phones and asses and do whatever it takes to support the quality of lifestyle they want. It is NOT the governments responsibility to provide for it's citizens. Government is not the answer.

Do you think you should have to put in 60+ hours a week for 20 years without spending any extra $ separate from your savings to have a decent living?

Yes. I did. Those before you did. Americans are sissies compared to our parents & grandparents. Learn the VALUE of a hard day's work. Then REPEAT. One day you get to rest IF you work to provide for yourself on the journey. It's all about choices. Govt owes you zero! #getup #maga

Despite all this great economic news, why does Trump and GOP still resort to fear-mongering and demonizing illegal immigrants?

Might be the way they demand everything without being respectful or civil. They fly their own flag for a reason. It’s not because they want to assimilate.

Assimilate? Why should anyone assimilate. We have a better country because we’re diverse.

How much of the pay increase went to CEOs and high level management? Some went to minimum wage increases but people can’t survive on that.

Exactly. If you are going to use statistics to create a news article, show us the entire picture. What was the pay increase for low level, mid level, and high level? It's called journalism.

Did your wages go up, because no one I talked to has higher wages? You can celebrate this abstract idea of other people having higher wages and better jobs. But if it doesn't effect someone's family or ability to pay bills or not work two jobs, they aren't as likely to care.

My husband's employer gave him an 11k a year raise 4 months ago. It is happening even if it doesn't fit the anti-Trump narrative. #JobsNotMobs
