My cousin was electrocuted in a wheel chair. He wasn’t in jail, just caught in the rain and his umbrella worked as a matchmaker of sorts for the lightning. I don’t know why, this story just reminded me of that.
-
Did he die?
-
No, but he never walked again.
-
You said he was in a wheel chair. Was he able to walk before?
-
I don’t know why I laughed...

I don’t understand why states that use the death penalty don’t have firing squads. It seems that it’s the most surefire way to kill someone. No botched lethal injection, no bodies catching on fire in the electric chair, a bullet to the heart and that’s the end of it.
-
I think its for the same reason we dont have hangings. We just kind of grew past it as a nation and moved on to more "respectful" methods. I completely agree with abolishment.
-
I don’t think there’s anything respectable about execution, but I think that the method that could have the least potential for cruel and unusual punishment would be a firing squad. A myriad of things could go wrong with hanging, electric chair or lethal injection executions.
-
I'm with you on that side. But firing squads proved to cause ptsd for the members of the squad. During the civil war they would only put a bullet in 1 of the 5 shooters guns to try and prevent it but still the shooters were hurt mentally.
-
I agree that if we are going to have the punishment it should be as efficient as possible but in the end there is always room for failure.

If we had a wall none of this ever would’ve happened

That makes sense - kill someone for killing someone. Yeah. Nah.
-
He killed two people.
-
So -killing people is (correctly) wrong. Get that. Killing someone (which is wrong, as we've established) becomes right when that someone has killed someone. Why is murdering a murderer a good thing in your country?
-
We’re ugly Americans. We do what we want.
-
So sad. Look where it's got you.

I’m doing quite well, thanks.

Your nation isn't... but if you're happy I'm happy. Have a good day

The Nation of Jake is kickin’ ass.
