You mean the leadership of the opposing political party?
-
None of the people target are current party leaders. One was Robert de Niro. One of the many oddities of this situation.
-
Oh come on. Two former Presidents, a former VP, Trump’s opponent in the last election and a former SecState, the former attorney general—those aren’t just “not current leaders” would you be ok with an assassination attempt against Trump after he leaves office?
-
Apparently clarifying facts is equivalent to "begin okay with an assassination attempt." From what we know about the bombs, this doesn't look like an assassination attempt. Obnoxious devices with no apparent detonation mechanism. Looks like the goal just was to scare people.
-
Still terrorism either way, and not something worth taking lightly.
-
Glad you clarified but writing it off as an attempt to scare people is really sweeping the horror under the rug.
-
Steven Hart, this started with you brushing this off because none of the victims is a current leader. Now it’s just a series of pranks meant to scare people. I’m not interested in your next attempt to brush this off.

It’s more accurate to say they were targeting people Trump has publicly attacked, not ‘Trump critics’
-
*people who have attacked Trump. Fixed it for ya.
-
Critizing him is not attacking him. Critizing is short for critique, or to point out when someone doesn’t understand their job enough to function. And there’s no justification for pipe bombs. None. Not critizing. Not verbal attacks. It’s literally domestic terrorism.
-
And when did Trump target them. Send a quote or video.
-
*looks at my comment for the word target* When did I say that ever?

You should write this differently. It sounds like you are demonizing the persons receiving the bombs as "critics". Should have said "persons receiving package bombs were sent through the US Mail". Leave the negatives out and it sounds more down the line as journalism should be.
-
The people weren’t mailed were they?
