shit now they should be scrambling to find that kind of money, i wonder if the company will survive
-
They increased the fines AFTER the event otherwise it would have been a lot more. Not that I expect it will make FB that more honest or anything.

They made billions on people's data and they get fined 500 000. Laughable.

$500,000 pounds, is that a lot in UK money? Zuckerberg, literally makes that in about 29 seconds give or take a second or two. That's based on him continuing to average $9,000,000,000 a year. What was the point of this fine?
-
No, it’s peanuts. Fines for criminality in UK are ludicrously small.
-
Well, it sounds like with a little research (may some Analytics
) you could make a boatload of money in the UK with very minimal risk
-
However as a result of this there are now new UK penalties for data breaches. “up to €20 million or 4% of the company’s global annual turnover of the previous financial year, whichever is higher.” So be careful, whatever you might be planning.

That’s like 4 Trump payments to silence porn stars. Or 0.001% of the total amount of evaded taxes by the Trump family over the last 30 years.
-
Or it is like porn stars paying Trump.
