did nothing
-
yes I'm sure one of the most prominent politicians in America putting constant public pressure on Jeff Bezos/Amazon for paying their workers starvation wages had absolutely nothing to do with this
-
Can you prove it did?
-
He introduce the Bezos bill which would force billion dollar companies to pay a fine when their workers apply for public assistance. I googled that. Easy to figure out if you look for it instead of saying "prove it". Happy to help! :-)

Here’s the first 4 results when searching Bernie Sanders and amazon on here. I’d also point to his YouTube or Facebook page with hours of videos exposing amazons working conditions.pic.twitter.com/GQLqYx0rsh

Amazon sucks...but nothing has passed, if it did Walmart would be upping their wages. I hate when people claim a victory when the war is still waging.

Nice deferral from you original argument

Thank you
#BernieSanders !!! You are the true champion of the people. -
"The people" don't need a champion. Sanders didn't do this, the people working at Amazon did. We don't need to go around crediting politicians every time people on the ground get shit done.
-
Until Bernie put the spotlight on Amazon, the workers were forgotten drones by Amazon. Bernie brought very public pressure on Bezos...https://www.businessinsider.com/bernie-sanders-has-introduced-a-stop-bezos-bill-2018-9 …
-
Both are to thank for that. The workers for organizing a strike, and also Bernie Sanders for using his influence to put pressure on Amazon. Great accomplishment for everyone.

Fair enough. No matter how it happened, or who deserves the most credit... Good for the workers, I'm glad for them.
-
I just saw an article that cited a substantial aspect of the raise in wages... is the job market. With low unemployment, Amazon has to raise wages because workers can switch jobs easier. Still whatever factors contributed, glad it happened.

I want everybody under this tweet to understand that $15 an hour is great increase but it is not a liveable wage $15 x 40 = 600 after taxes depending on the state and deducations there are looking at $400-$470 a week nobody can survive off of that
-
15.00/hr is a great supplemental income for a family.
-
can you live on $400 a week ? since its so great
-
I live on less.
-
Well like u said you struggle, on another note idc what somebody’s profession is if you work 40 hours a week at any Job you should be able to support (yourself) comfortably. When will we ever get out of this notion that life should only be work and struggle?
-
I can't pay all of my bills... And I work overtime when it's offered. By the time insurance and 401k is taken out I have shit. I pick and choose what to pay. I should have said SURVIVE, not LIVE.
-
We’ll see exactly lol that’s even worse.
