Yet, this was (and possibly still is) being treated as on duty. Further, she was not arrested in dallas county (where the crime occurred) but in an adjacent county with a much lower percentage of potential black jurors...

Sure, she did. If that were *true*, he'd have had a chance to show I.D. proving he lived there, but since 'dead men can't talk', we'll never know what she said. (Which is why she said it.)
