A problem which may start rearing its head across many other countries too - ageing infrastructure. There's only so much that old structures (already weakened by the rising pollution levels surrounding them) can take.

Not difficulties with aging bridges, but difficulties with bridges not designed to age. Roman bridges still survive without difficulties .... bridges that encase steel suspension cables in concrete will fail because they cannot be maintained.

Are Roman bridges carrying 80-100 ton trucks regularly? Asking because I don't live there.
