A lot of folks will chide those of us who believe in pushing Congress to do more for working people and the planet by saying “well, how do you plan on getting 50 votes?” instead of asking the Dems who are blocking voting rights in the Senate where they plan on getting 60.

AOC: "I do think that we need to talk about the elephant in the room, which is Senate Democrats which are blocking crucial items in a Democratic agenda for reasons that I don't think hold a lot of water."

We have an obligation to do the most we can for working people, civil rights, and the planet with the power people have entrusted to us. We should lower the age for Medicare, roll back voter suppression, and create millions of jobs w/ infrastructure that combats climate change.

Manchin is literally an elephant (GOP) in the room. calling him a democrat at this point is disingenuous.

How DARE any politician not vote in lock-step with their party! It's terrible when they understand the consequences of doing things that will hurt their party in the long run!

AOC does not understand the political reality here. She talks about 50 votes going it alone. However, she does not grasp the fact the 50 votes are not there. There are at least 2, and maybe more, that will not be for it. Rhetoric sounds great but reality based talk is better.

Reality there is not enough votes vote more dems in the 50 states US House and Senate and Primary a few out in 2022 then and only then you might get a mandate. But now you don't. I AGREE WITH ALOT OF YOUR ISSUES. BUT I LNOW THE REALITY OF THE POLITICAL LANDSCAPE.

I understand your role is to be an extremist to try and swing the pendulum incrementally in your progressive direction. Sometimes the extremism does more harm to your cause and party than that incremental movement does good. You need moderates and centrists and you alienate them.
