It would be helpful if the US would finally acknowledge its contributions to destabilization and regime change in the region. Doing so can help us change US foreign policy, trade policy, climate policy, & carceral border policy to address causes of mass displacement & migration.

I support legal immigration but having 16,000 children and trying to deal with so many, it is becoming a dangerous situation for the immigrants. They need to know that it is very dangerous.
-
Legal immigration like how the let mostly all Europeans come in as it was a mostly open migration for whites?? That kind of immigration reform?

I'm not happy about this at all. This new administration is perpetuating exactly the same border policies as the previous one.

VERY disappointing. Thanks for saying this and I think we need to say it again and again: Seeking. Asylum. Is. Legal.
-
Discouraging people from making a dangerous journey is perfectly fine. It's not like the administration is not letting people apply for asylum. Plus, this is US policy. We should all be pushing the admin to stabilize the region via targeted aid and other foreign policy options.
