My story isn’t the only story, nor is it the central story of what happened on Jan 6th. It is just one story of many of those whose lives were endangered at the Capitol by the lies, threats, and violence fanned by the cowardice of people who chose personal gain above democracy.
Thanks for making the space for me, and hope we can all make space for others to tell their stories in the weeks to come. And to those who wish to paper over their misdeeds by rushing us to all “move on” - we can move on when the individuals responsible are held to account.

It funny, those that laugh and make fun of Alexandras experience, are the same ones that are angry because the insurectionists were caught and treated badly and need organic foods because prison food hurts there tummies whilst in prison.
Absolutely! We have not forgotten what happened everyone in the Capitol on that horrible day. People are suffering PTSD and the damn @GOP wants to move on. 
So my combat vet husband confided in me that he thinks he has ptsd bc of his reaction to seeing what happened at the capitol on live tv. It's hard to explain, he could barely explain what he felt about it but it definitely stirred up some anger in him seeing it all go down.
So I can just imagine using what I know about his experiences and what similarities he drew between that and the attempted coup... what y'all must've felt like actually experiencing that in person. It also angers him even more that a portion of the insurrectionists were vets.

Relax. She had the chance to ACTUALLY bring universal healthcare to at the very LEAST a floor vote and chose not to. Take that garbage argument somewhere else. Saying and doing are very different. Please learn the difference.
