The fact that Republicans are forcing Dems to choose between stimulus money OR unemployment benefits, as if we couldn’t easily do both, is barbaric. Do they know that people in red states are hungry too, or do they just not care? This is inhumane.

What is the supposed “sensible” argument against at this point? This is a crisis and these measures would only begin to help. I can’t fathom how it isn’t just an absolute necessity now.

The problem is you letting them frame the debate. 1-time check of $600 or even $1200 is too little. Going strictly w/UI benefit extension d/n help those who went back to work at reduced hrs/pay, but d/n qualify for UI *at all*. Look at Canada/New Zealand. Survival checks for all.
