When politicians use faith as an excuse to pass and uphold laws that seize control of people’s bodies but not guarantee them healthcare, feed the poor, shelter the homeless, or welcome the stranger, you have to wonder if it’s really about faith at all.

One of the Ten Commandments is "Thou shalt not steal." There is no asterisk that creates an exception if the money is used for healthcare, food, or shelter. Not only is socialism unconstitutional, bad economics, and hurts most those it promises to help, but it's immoral too.

It is by our works in faith, NOT by the government to help those in need. God is not the government. WE as people, as followers of Christ, are to help those in need. Not the government. Our taxes are not tithes.
As for "people's bodies" - what about the baby's body?

Yo Jess, not everyone in the United States is Christian. It's what makes our country great. Diversity is good, as is freedom of religion and a separation of church and state.
