I don’t know why the GOP gets so triggered at the idea of investing in our train infrastructure.
It’s environmentally friendly, stations have huge potential to stimulate local economies, building it creates a ton of good, union jobs - AND it’s puppy approved. #GreenNewDeal 🐶🚊

Because they’re short-sighted and would rather live in a country with crumbling/outdated infrastructure to save a few bucks in taxes.

The trains and subways millions of us in NYC rely on were built with 19th century technology, and are still more green than today’s cars and trucks. Imagine what investing in 21st century transportation solutions could do for us? Also: puppies 🐶

Agreed. Riding on an Amtrak, staring out a window, and just losing yourself in the American landscape is a lovely way to decompress.
I love visiting England and taking train rides all over the country. I wish we had that infrastructure here.
