The strength of the US party system is that you have large parties with a diversity of opinions within them. There are no all-powerful party bosses forcing legislators like you to vote a certain way. In any other country, you’d have been booted out of your caucus ages ago.

Many other countries have multiparty democracies, where several parties come together in a coalition to govern.
