in Scotland, I had to go to the doctor. After my visit, I checked out w the staff. Staff: Give us a call if you need anything else. Me: OK, how much do I owe? S: Huh? M: like, what's the cost for today's visit? S: Health care is...free here. M: 🤯

Twice in the last decade family members visiting us in Washington from abroad had to use emergency room and therapy. Top notch care. We were terrified of the cost. Explained they were just visiting and couldn’t pay. No charge. Same with my mom her last couple months with cancer
