If we’re so concerned about implied tropes, why aren’t we concerned about this one? Where was the concern last week when 26 Dems voted for a GOP amendment to expand ICE powers rooted in the racist + false trope that Latino immigrants are more dangerous than US born citizens?https://twitter.com/ryangrim/status/1103124376151605249 …

None of this is “whataboutism.” Racism and bigotry of all forms is inextricably linked. When you don’t address them as a system and attempt to pick them apart as though they are distinct and separable issues, eventually the thing that gets advanced is white supremacy + classism.

@AOC Honey why don’t you come on down to Texas and spend some time in some of the southern towns. Then maybe you will actually have some knowledge and understanding about what is really going on. It has zero to do with racism. Real knowledge is power. -

You say BILLIONS like you didn’t just propose a $93 TRILLION with a T idea that would destroy our economy you’re literally a joke. Stay in NY and ruin that state.
-
Trillions spent on saving America and Earth from climate change and saving millions of lives and our descendants? I'm afraid there is no such thing as over-reacting to climate change.

Not based in fact, huh? The man who killed my 22 year old brother Pierce and crashed head on into him was here illegally for 14 years. That’s a fact. It’s not racism. The border crisis is REAL. We have a problem here in America, some are just too blind to see it.

Sorry to read about your brother, we’re onboard

Wrong. What other country has open borders and not had huge problems? Look what it has done to Europe? When will you begin to represent the citizens of your district?
-
She would actually have to visit her district first before she can represent it.
