I think so. Grassroots community members led + organized the whole effort. Wouldn’t have happened if they weren’t there.
What are you going to do about the 25,000-plus jobs that have been lost, ? Do you have an alternative that will produce those numbers of jobs? Why wasn't an alternative source of jobs built into your opposition to Amazon?

I think we’re understating how much amazon overplayed their hand in all of this. And how they thought they could skirt by without including the public in the conversation.

Again, when Walmart and Amazon make their presence known, they can really do damage to the local economy itself, this is why we got to stop them from expanding.

Yes. Let's stop the expansion of jobs and affordable groceries and other things. If they 'really do damage' to local economies, those economies are not strong.

This is why we need leaders need to have some basic business acumen. Yes you giving Amazon 3 billion to attract them, but the tax revenue generated more than pays for the 3 billion. Plus the area gains 25k jobs. A company that large has tons of high end management jobs.

Tax revenues plus increased rents for everyone who lives there. How is that beneficial to the current set of voters?
Replacing one group of people with another isn't in the interests of the people who currently live there.
The revenue generated and money spent by consumers would have been way more than the tax break given.
