Rep. Stefanik, this is not a critique of women across the aisle, but of the serious inability for GOP to elect + support women. You yourself have taken your party to task on this - in fact, you called it a “crisis.” I’m happy you’re trying to fix it: npr.org/2019/01/20/686

Exhibit A of pushing women across the aisle down - Esp when a Republican POTUS-along w/ standing ovation from @HouseGOP - graciously applauded historic # of women in Congress. Sadly Instead of lifting fellow women up regardless of Party, you chose to push us down. Do better @AOC twitter.com/AOC/status/109…

So you're saying regardless of their policies, Americans should elect women to congress bc they're women. Strong "equality" argument.

No, I think it’s more like the GOP should actively recruit and support women to run for office. Which they don’t. Women don’t have to win, but they should be encouraged to run and supported as enthusiastically as men. Again, the GOP doesn’t do this.

Funny how the GOP keeps blaming their inability to elect women and POC on Dems. Ex-Rep. Mia Love made a similar arg — claimed Dems were racist for running a white man against her & winning. Never mind that she's the only black woman the GOP even tried to elect in the 1st place.
