It is truly not okay that posts like these are the everyday reality in the United States, and that some consider the notion of changing it for the better as “controversial” or “divisive.”
Our “normal” is not normal. A better world is possible, and it will come if we work for it.

It is not okay to work for the things you want? Other people have to provide it for you? You would have loved the Soviet Union.
When you say "it will come if we work for it" what you mean is it will come if other people do the work for you.

Amen.
One thought for you - while we work on Medicare for All, which may take some time, why don't we build out a nationalized network of community health centers and provide primary care as a public service to EVERYONE? We already have a strong base.

That’s unbelievable. I haven’t worked full time since March 2018 but in that time I’ve taken my son to the hospital twice, myself to the doctors twice & my wife has been more than three times... all for no cost. I’m so blessed to live in Australia. I feel so sad for that family.
