Some of the most important people in movements are the early adopters. They are the risk-takers, the ones who stand with the courage of their conviction before the odds of success are known.
@RepRoKhanna is one of those people. Thank you Rep. Khanna for supporting GND early on.https://twitter.com/RepRoKhanna/status/1070017918082146304 …

Do these folks understand we have a sovereign economy, that it is a currency issuer and cannot go broke? Which means that the US (and any sovereign economy) CAN afford a GREEN NEW DEAL and MEDICARE FOR ALL etc.

My God!!! I hope you don't run your own finances like this! Printing unlimited amounts of currency causes hyperinflation and would cause the dollar to be worthless! We already print too much! Your lack of understanding is Mind Boggling!
-
I asked my 12 yr old granddaughter what would happen if we just printed more money, she understood immediately that it would make the currency worthless! This is the solution socialists come up with or steal it from the people who actually earned it in order to fund their crap.
-
Your hard earned taxes do not have to go up to fund ANYBODY’s stuff, if it happens to be a federally implemented program (military, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, etc.). NOBODY’s taxes need to go up for this. The gov’t “pays for” these things VERY different than you think.
-
You are misunderstanding what causes hyperinflation. The chances of it happening in the US are remote. We are a sovereign fiat currency and have PLENTY of resources with which to provide for our people. The countries where hyperinflation has occurred are completely different.

Thank you for listing every congressperson that doesn’t know history. The original new deal was a failure and this proposal will be too. Read a book.
-
What good book would you recommend about how the New Deal was bad? I am anxiously awaiting!
-
No problem comrade try New deal or raw deal? Or out of work specifically page 77.
-
1/ PERFECT! p 77 of "Out of Work" is a chart that shows that unemployment rates were 25% in 1933 when the New Deal was put into place and 14% in 1939 when it (arguably) ended. Not sure what you were trying to prove with that one. Anyone can see it here: https://www.jstor.org/stable/j.ctt9qg19k.10?refreqid=excelsior%3A0d70879be6f381db7239f4ce51aaab1b&seq=4#metadata_info_tab_contents …

2/ The authors (if one considers Vedder a 'scholar') continue on p 79 by saying "a brisk recovery seemed underway in late 1933," which is not terribly convincing from an intellectual standpoint. When FDR slowed his New Deal initiatives in 1936, the Depression picked up again...

Can't wait until your put the bill on the House floor. It will guarantee that President Trump will be re-elected and that the GOP will win back the House in 2020.
