Mysuru Campus Celebrated its 12th Graduation Day on November 27, 2022. 531 UG & PG students received their degrees. Chief guest, Mr. Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, Hon’ble Speaker, Karnataka Legislative Assembly. Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Former VC Mysore Univ was guest of honour.
Mysuru Campus Celebrated its 12th Graduation Day on November 27, 2022.

At our Mysuru campus, 531 undergraduate and postgraduate students received their degrees during the graduation ceremony that included 57 rank holders and medal winners.

Our chief guest was Mr. Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, Hon’ble Speaker, Karnataka Legislative Assembly. Guest of honour Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Former Vice- Chancellor, University of Mysore addressed the students.

Today’s education system is in the clutches of westernisation and commercialisation. At such juncture, building a strong vision, compassion and national concerns among students is pivotal - opined Mr. Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, Hon’ble Speaker, Karnataka Legislative Assembly. He called on the youth not to limit education to text books in order to shape their personality to the societal requirement. He was addressing the fresh graduates at 12th Graduation Day of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru Campus 

 Emphasising on the challenges ahead, Kageri asked the graduates to prepare themselves for the much-needed grit, self-discipline and will power. He congratulated Amrita graduates for acquiring degree from not only a prestigious institution but the one that imparts the values needed to tackle real life challenges.

Our Amrita School of Biotechnology is hosting the symposium ALARM 2022 on November 23 – 24, 2022, in conjunction with the World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (November 18 – 24, 2022). World #Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) is a global awareness campaign celebrated yearly to conceive a better perception of antimicrobial resistance and encourage best practices among the public, One Health stakeholders, and policymakers, who play a critical role in reducing the further emergence and spread of #AMR. 

At the inauguration, Dr. Bipin Nair, Dean, School of Biotechnology addressed on AMR and Amrita efforts while welcoming the speakers and participants to the hybrid symposium which was held at Amritapuri and streamed online. 

Keynote address on Day 1 was by Dr Victor Nizet from University of California San Diego with his talk on vaccine approaches against Gram-negative pathogens.
