No, but this approach seems very wrong. If you want to help animals, talk to conservationists, who will tell you the focus should be on preserving the species, not "eliminating suffering." If you kill off the wild tigers, the deer will stop suffering, but is that a better world?

better = less suffering The maintenance of species diversity is insufferable. There's no reason to maintain a species just because it's endangered or different. Just like there is no reason to maintain a population of human mutants that suffer terribly just to maintain diversity.

So the perfect species would be a genetic monoculture where all food and nutrients are produced, oh say, genetically engineered bacteria of a plant whose population is genetically engineered to never feel pain. They just eat the jellow paste and mumble with joy.
