Not to mention that quite a few people wait much longer and/or wait, shall we say, eternally.
If you remove it you can never go on a keto diet because you can't metabolize fat.

I don't know. One of my brothers has his gall bladder removed and now he can't eat too much fat. I assume the limits options for a keto/high fat diet. You might still be able to pull off low carb though

A bladder is a capacitor. Presumably the bile glands can still trickle in a little bit, but not very much.
