At anytime or place in history, women are horrific and loaded with evil. It's the one trans-tempo-spatial constant. https://twitter.com/lizzie_wade/status/1010178681334050822 …

i do think "completely open borders" is a fine goal to take as a thought experiment. like, 1, what would such a world have to look like, for that to be in any way viable? and 2, is there a practical recipe for getting there from here? ...
-
the answers would appear to be, 1, pretty awesome tbh, but 2, no, not where "practical" means something this generation could accomplish on purpose. better to target smaller, local improvements (neighborhood, town, etc) and hope for cool leverage and synergies in quality of life

something about cleaning your room before you try to implement open borders etc

Globalism turns the world into a dumping ground. Free trade encourages the first world to dump e-waste on the third world, and the third world to dump refugees on the first. Borders force first world countries to recycle and third world countries to give rights to their people.

Capitalism has producers and consumers, but unlike the trophic layers, is missing decomposers. Contra
@Outsideness if it has any future at all it will master decomposition of its own pollutants, and become part of nature rather than escape it. -
Vulture capitalists?
-
Sure. Why not. But I'm talking about how pollution is just something nature can't metabolize, and both bacterial, recycling, and phytoremediation processes can be developed to solve that. For example;https://www.ted.com/talks/two_young_scientists_break_down_plastics_with_bacteria?language=en …

Sorry about the "horrific and loaded with evil" part. Bad experiences and what not.
