If I changed to make it work, I would be a significantly worse person, who I don't like anymore. Plus they wouldn't change. I've read accounts. I've been in a school too. Neighbours are assholes, in general.

It will never be real because it comes at the cost of knowing much of anything about your neighbours. The ones that aren't careless or cheaters will be deadly boring. But will still demand my time.
