Abrams probably has a flashback scene somewhere in the movie and someone sort of in the sphere of influence of the set has latcheted onto Padme being in this scene.... my wild speculation of course...

she would only be a flashback. she doesn't have the force but keep in mind shes kylos grandma...this movie supposed to tie everything together. I dont see it happening without her, hayden & ewan.😕
