    I was staff on Senate Judiciary Committee when these documents were stolen. We were at the height of pitched battles over efforts to stack the judiciary with extreme right wingers. These lies under oath aren’t just grounds to vote no. They’re grounds to impeach.

    Brett Kavanaugh used materials stolen from Democratic senators to advance President Bush's judicial nominees. He was asked about this in 2004, 2006 and this week. His answers were not true.

    This is insane . We can't complain about the cruel and inhumane family separation policies of without calling Bullshit on you.

    My client walked out of Rikers Island today after a jury acquitted him of all charges. He waited in jail for his trial for 3 years. He lost his job and missed his son’s first 3 birthdays simply because he couldn’t afford bail. He’s not unique - THIS IS OUR SYSTEM.

    ok...what am i missing. The idea of CrowdPAC seems like a great tool for empowering the general public. I just donated and now wondering, what am i missing. seriously. I'd prefer no PACs allowed but this feels like it can have a leveling effect.

    This campaign is no joke. Wow! Over 13,000 people have pledged $350,000 to future opponent IF she votes to confirm Brett Kavanaugh. She said she would not seat a judge who endangered Roe. Let’s hold her to her promise.

    I never find this public defender’s running tally of cases from a NY night court easy to read - but you should anyway. It’s an empathetic, detailed and compelling series of arguments for bail reform and changing how we look at the often unchecked power of prosecutors.

    Today I’m working the dreaded “double.” I will be in arraignments from now through 1am. Meeting people arrested within last 24-48 hours, arguing for release, working to advise traumatized families on what’s next, individualizing my clients beyond the accusation & criminal record.
