This data was taken in the first week of July 2018, after Proud Boys and associates brutally attacked a large number of antifascist protestors on the streets of Portland June 30. This represented the peak of their recruitment, with large numbers having signed up for violence.

This data was scraped from all of the official Proud Boys vetting groups that used to be on facebook, where recruits would go to take the first steps in becoming a Proud Boy. It was part of how you joined the club. Whelp, we do hate to announce that facebook left the door open.

Because of a bug in facebook mobile, we were able to scrape certain data from their membership lists - names, when they joined, who added them, and whether they were an admin or a moderator. Antifascists have been using this data ever since, but now we're making it public.

We can't say whether all of these recruits went on to become full Proud Boys. We do know their numbers have sagged badly ever since Oct 12th 2018, when their brothers viciously attacked antifascist protestors near the @metgopclub after a speaking engagement by Gavin McInnes.

After that attack, ten Proud Boys who were caught on multiple camera angles got charged. Most took a plea deal and got a slap on the wrist, but Johnny Kinsman and Maxwell Hare fought the law and the law won. Four years each. Now their brothers are trying to get them a pardon.

Note that one Proud Boy from October 12, David Kuriakose who was also caught on film assaulting counterprotestors in Portland June 30th 2018 but has not charged, is still awaiting trial in Manhattan.
