The pretence that people should worry more about a price nudge on energy use today instead of trying to put the brakes on the massive and rising costs of climate change is on offer by some politicians on the right. It's the opposite of a responsible fiscal plan, imo

Do you mean this person? How very interesting. Is she a Hobby farmer or Senior loss adjuster in the Energy Division? Do we have to do the research for you?

Opinion: Could tight oil go global? Tight oil production is today a largely US phenomenon. From less than 500,000 b/d in 2010, production has surged to around 6 million b/d in 2018 and this growth shows little sign of slowing down any time soon.

The CBC has an obligation to report the truth, not offer misinformation by the LOO as a lede. I contribute to the two-thirds of the CBC's budget that is involuntarily supported by Canadians via taxes, so I expect more than cynical click-bait.

The newish President of the CBC/RC, Catherine Tait, now has a Twitter account. The CBC has not been getting the message that misinformation for the purpose of click-bait doesn't serve the public interest, nor honour the CBC's legislated mandate.

Not a lot of light between UCP and Alberta Party ‘Ministry of Truth’ schemes, or for that matter the NDP approach.

This deserves more attention. Canada is attracting *100,000s* of talented educated and ambitious future citizens. And, yes, also future taxpayers. Immigration/integration is arguably Canada's comparative (and absolute) advantage among OECD competitors.
