I am a South Bend resident. He won overwhelmingly here and you don't get 80% of the vote in South Bend without minority support.
This Pete has a problem with the black community narrative is tinkering on being exploitative. The black community here has issues that are important to us and it is our civic duty to raise those issues even to candidates we support.
Thank you for speaking up.
It's becoming insulting. We supported him in other districts with high minority populations and helped him win 80% of the overall vote in 2015.
It's very insulting like people assume that blks n south bend r ignorant and poverty striken.. I cant w the racist agenda under the guise of supporting blks...
Exactly. The people trying to kneecap Pete are doing it for political reasons, not because they are great crusaders for black Americans' causes.
Umm...not that great. 8500 out of a population of 105k or So.pic.twitter.com/iBBT9rWtuF
Non presidential year elections are traditionally low here as are primaries (which the article references). My point stands. I will support Pete and whoever the dem nominee turns out to be in this talented group.
Yup...that reflects the 5 to 6% support he is showing in the polls. Obviously it provides concrete data which reflects trends which are not promising, and also explains why he loses in projection polls
Resist on Jack.
Facts aren't on your side...so pound that table.
1. I dont pound tables. 2.I'll support the democratic presidential candidate & knock on doors, make calls, drive loved ones to the polls just as I have in past presidential elections. I want Pete to win but I'm not playing attack politics. I will support the dem nominee.
1. It's from a quote... 2. That's fine... it wasn't an "attack" to explain current poll standings and past turnout.
Thank you both for speaking up
