  7. Nissan unclear about the impact of the autonomous system on the mileage itself, but has just clarified that the LEAF it used had a 30kWh battery, which has a reduced range of 130 miles. Don't get me wrong, the achievement is exciting and positive. This is professional cynicism.

  8. Ironically called the HumanDrive project, the road trip took place on public roads "with surrounding motorists none the wiser" according to Nissan. None the wiser other than the extensive HumanDrive branding on the car itself that is. And the senors on the top, back and front...

  9. The basic Nissan LEAF will go up to 168 miles on a single charge. During the 230-mile autonomous journey from Cranfield to Sunderland it stopped to charge four times. What is the autonomous driving system's impact on mileage?

  10. This is something actually boasted about when the Senate intelligence committee quizzed him regarding Russian interference during the 2016 election. Great piece on Motherboard about how widespread this outsourcing is from back then:

  11. Twitter announced it would provide context around labelled media. Will that be public explanations when media are tagged? Technical analyses of doctoring? Nope. This video shows context = links to news websites. Outsourcing content moderation to journalists is a golden goose.

Short of a Guantánamo for our own citizens, there is no feasible way of restraining indefinitely those who cannot be convicted of a terrorist offence. Hence the importance of state-of-the-art intelligence work ... /4

These are all almost certainly fake. Mythbusters covered these types of videos back in 2016 () but tl;dr farts aren't dense enough to show, this is likely compressed gas, or if the hoaxers were clever, steam.

Just days ago Sudesh Amman was in prison. He was released and then committed this terrible attack in . I think we need to ask what happened while he was in prison and measure it against what we want to happen to prisoners, because they all eventually get released.

It isn't clear what priority level had been assigned to the attacker, although it can be assumed that based on the excellent and quick police response it was higher than the routine Priority 4 for people released from prison for terror offences.
