Media reports anout the Empire incident being a hoax are unconfirmed by case detectives. Supt Eddie Johnson has contacted to state on the record that we have no evidence to support their reporting and their supposed CPD sources are uninformed and inaccurate.

@TuckTakes Not saying your recent tweet is inaccurate. But I recommend you search for more than one "Twitter" source before quoting any tweet, regardless of subject matter. Twitter is a dangerous place, unfortunately.

Come on, Tony. Is the CPD really that obtuse that you couldn't see the inanity of the story?
You need to be more specific. Not true that the motive was Jussie Smollett was being written out of "Empire". Or that an apartment was raided? Or that the 2 persons of interest were picked up at O'Hare and one is an Empire cast member? Etc.
Time for a press conference guys.

Seems to be several outlets and reporters all “uninformed” with same stories.

This is them saying "innocent until proven guilty" because they plan to charge Jussie with a crime! (Allegedly, my opinion #ilysm) #JussieSmollettHoax
