I read 9yo and diet and I say YTA. I'll read the post for "clarification" but I don't see me changing my mind no matter the context bc there's no reason for a pre-pubescent child to be on a diet.

Same. Family members put me on diets and criticized my body/choices staring when I was about five and I have never developed a healthy relationship with food. I’ve engaged in severely disordered eating for thirty years. It’s a monstrous thing to do to a child.
