    It's a new : By a vote of 5-4, Court grants requests by Catholic diocese & synagogues in NYC to lift COVID-related attendance limits on houses of worship. Justices had turned down similar requests last summer, while Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was still on the Court.

    The Supreme Court has finally acted on those Pennsylvania ballots that arrived after Election Day ... but only to give Democrats a requested 5 extra days to file an opposition brief in one case. Not much left to the dispute after today's PA certification.

    They have *probably* been held over for reconsideration at next week's conference, but we don't know for sure yet. has a general practice of not granting review until the justices have considered a case at two conferences.

    just released the hearing list for the December sitting, which starts next Monday. As noted, only 3 women will argue, and she is the only one from private practice. State SGs Barbara Underwood (NY) & Elizabeth Murrill (LA) will also argue.
