Yes, because society didn't dehumanize women at all before incels
There are plenty of extremely successful men that think exactly like this actually. Men like Harvey Wienstien, Donald Trump and Bill Cosby.
I was referring specifically to the incel shibboleths of the "sexual marketplace" and derivative terms. We agree on the point the men have always been too rape-y and controlling. Though the act of rating women 1-10 is an ancient male act, incels give it a veneer of "economics."

While some of the specific terminology starts with "incels", lots of the concepts of the "sexual marketplace" where alive and well when I was in the army ten years ago. Before then, it sounds a lot like how all "socially acceptable" males between 15-25 viewed women

When I was growing up. Sure, they didn't use as nerdy "economic" terms, but the concepts where all there. These are from successful people that did get laid.

Even still, you hear a lot of the same rhetoric about winning, and worth of women from the mainstream media and out of the mouths of pro- and collegiate athletes, people see on TV.
