P.S. If Twitter did try to ban radical Islam, it would almost be guaranteed that a lot of regular Muslims would end up being caught up in the ban. Which is the point being made in the article about white supremacy. I doubt anyone would be cool with that, and nor should they be.

And given the left's tendency to baselessly accuse political opponents of bigotry and label anything they don't like as hate speech, it's fairly obvious what this push is intended to do. Twitter would be done as a usable platform for political discussions if they gave in.

Twitter's real problem is they don't have consistent standards. They should stop trying to police speech and only focus on harassment because they have proven to be terrible at policing speech.

What an embarrassing article. 1) ISIS is a group. White supremacy is an ideology. Correct comparison would be banning radical Islam. Twitter does not ban radical Islam. 2) Your tweet/headline is based on one employee's characterization, which was specifically rejected by Twitter

If it wasn't Pop, I would say the coach should be fired. Did they not know what was going on? They just gave up.

Richard Spencer, Vox Day, Owen Benjamin, Rick Wells, Louis Farrakhan, Ilhan Omar, Linda Sarsour, Keith Ellison, today’s New York Times International Edition... Antisemitism knows no party. It infects the asshole-fringes of left and right.

They were just used to it. I could never understand. It's scary to think that we may be moving in a direction of having to think like that here. To accept it as normal for people to try to kill us as we are living our daily lives just because of who we are.

less than a decade ago when rocket alarms were constantly going off (one ended up falling in the yard of the neighborhood Kindergarten) and we would have to run to take shelter. What always struck me about those times was how normal all the native Israelis viewed all of it.

I was Israel as a little kid during the Gulf War when my parents would wake me up at night to put on the gas mask. I was there as a teenager during the Second Intifada when I terrified to take a bus because of the suicide bombs (my friends made fun of me for it). I was there...

Jews in Sderot are under constant threat of an attack. They live their lives knowing that they have to be ready to run to a bomb shelter at a moment's notice. That little girl's family fled Sderot to escape terror targeting Jews only to find it here. I have no words.

Verified to support the victims of the synagogue shooting in Poway — for any necessary medical operations for the victims, funeral services, and more:

I would really prefer to hear more about the victims and those who helped prevent today's tragedy from being much worse than the shooter or his views.

There you have it. What makes the cartoon so revealing is that it has clearly been through several layers of editorial screening, and at no point did anyone raise an objection strenuous enough to veto it.

I get that this is the left’s favorite line to justify using tragedies to push an unrelated policy agenda, but it’s especially offensive to use it when responding to an attack on people who were praying. Prayers clearly matter to these victims.

Anti-Semitism is a virus. When the immune system of a society is healthy, anti-Semitism is kept in check. When it is weakened—as it is right now—the virus thrives, as it has so many times before in some of the most seemingly civilized cultures on the planet.

Muslims attacked while praying in a mosque in New Zealand; Catholics attacked while praying in churches in Sri Lanka; Jews attacked while praying in synagogues in the U.S. The monsters who kill those gathered for prayer will face God on the charge of sacrilege as well as murder.
